Yes it's that time of year again. 24 hour comics day is less then two weeks away now on the 18th of October. Same bat time, same bat channel as always - noon to noon at the Central Hotel in Dublin. The event is free and we ask people to please spread the word. This year as well as being able to draw comics for the 24 hours, there will be a reading section with a selection of mini comics and zines from both Ireland and beyond. There will also be a small table selling mini comics - anyone wishing to sell mini comics should get in touch with me for details, it is free to leave comics for sale. People not wishing or able to take part in drawing a 24 hour comic are welcome to come read and/or buy some mini comics. The event website is located at [link]

Also taking place that weekend will be Free Irish Comic Day which does exactly what it says on the tin. Several irish comics will be given out for free at various stores around the country. More information can be found at [link]



The comic book anthology I spent the last few months putting together, "I'm sorry I can't take your call right now but I've saving the world", can now be bought via the website here [link] or if your Dublin based it can picked up in Sub City or The winding Stair Book shop in the city center. 100% off all money raised from the sale of the book is being donated to Goal [link] So far we've raised 3230 euro - thanks to everyone for the support
